Tri-C is an ongoing mission project of Elkin First Baptist Church. Tri-C is a local volunteer-based organization focused on helping families in crisis. Tri-C provides food and financial aid to qualified applicants in need.

The center's purpose is to establish a system of response to the emergency needs of person in the Tri-County area. Our church along with many others in the area help support the ministry. Tri-C provides food which is collected monthly, monies, and volunteers. There is always a need for more volunteers if you can spare a few hours a month.
Summary of Tri-C Crisis Ministry Policies:
*Tri-C can assist a family 3 times in a 12 month period.
*The monetary limit is $100 per visit. The vendor is paid directly instead of the client.
*Tri-C partners with many agencies that can help if the client's needs exceed the $100 limit.
*Tri-C keeps accurate records or files on every person who visits Tri-C which helps to identify fraud.
*Tri-C shares information with other agencies and excepts information from other agencies. Some of the cooperating agencies are: The Department of Social Services in each county, BROC, The Salvation Army, and The Red Cross.
*Tri-C helps with Energy Bills and any request must be accompanied by a disconnect notice.
*Tri-C helps with Heating Fuels and will pay up to $150 on heating oil, propane or kerosene.
*Tri-C helps with medicine, clothing, and basic furniture needs.
*Tri-C will always give food to a client, even if they come every month. Food is never turned down from any source. Tri-C welcomes churches, individuals, civic clubs, boy and girl scout troop, postal workers as well as business.
