WMU (Woman's Missionary Organization) is a mission program for preschool children, girls in grades 1 through 12, and women of all ages. Preschoolers attend Mission Friends during the 11:00 am worship service on the first Sunday of each month. GAs (Girls in Action) for girls in grades 1 through 6 meet each Wednesday from 6:50 to 7:45. Acteens for girls in grades 7 through 12 do not meet on a regular schedule but are involved in mission projects. Women can be involved in our Women on a Mission group. There are groups that meet during the day and another that meets in the evening once a month. Some of the mission projects of WMU include supporting local Christian charitable organizations, supporting WMU North Carolina mission projects, delivering meals to elderly citizens, keeping in touch with homebound/nursing home members and college students, and supporting the work of our church. Missions education is also an important part of WMU. Our children and adults use the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) missions education materials to learn about the work of CBF missionaries and prayer needs.
