The mission of the North Carolina Baptist Men is to help Christians share the love of Jesus by praying, giving and becoming involved in missions with their time and talents. NC Baptist Men strive to make Christians aware of human needs and provide opportunities to help meet those needs while living out the gospel message.

Here at First Baptist Elkin the Baptist men are involved in various activities such as working on improvement projects at Camp Caswell or assisting church members-in-need by helping with small home maintenance projects like raking leaves and cutting up fallen trees. This group prepares a full breakfast once every quarter after the 8:30 Sunday worship service. The Baptist Men also work with other missionary organizations within the church as well as outreach programs.

The focus of Baptist Men is serving others while building meaningful relationships with fellow members and non-members and growing in our spiritual walk with Christ.

WMU (Woman's Missionary Organization) is a mission program for preschool children, girls in grades 1 through 12, and women of all ages.  Preschoolers attend Mission Friends during the 11:00 am worship service on the first Sunday of each month. GAs (Girls in Action) for girls in grades 1 through 6 meet each Wednesday from 6:50 to 7:45.  Acteens for girls in grades 7 through 12 do not meet on a regular schedule but are involved in mission projects.  Women can be involved in our Women on a Mission group.  There are groups that meet during the day and another that meets in the evening once a month.  Some of the mission projects of WMU include supporting local Christian charitable organizations, supporting WMU North Carolina mission projects, delivering meals to elderly citizens, keeping in touch with homebound/nursing home members and college students, and supporting the work of our church.  Missions education is also an important part of WMU.  Our children and adults use the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) missions education materials to learn about the work of CBF missionaries and prayer needs.
